ABC Diligence Training Ltd has entered into its fifth year and we would like to thank everybody (candidates, clients and suppliers) for all their support over the last few years and due to this support, its been great.
So what's NEW?
After last years outstanding inaugural course, this spring we have been developing our Level 3 Award for Close Protection Operatives and I am pleased to announce that we have plans to roll out our second programme this winter. Although last years course was a reesounding success, we have learnt huge amounts from it and how to deliver the programme, more efficiently and simplistically for the candidates in relation of the compilation of the portfolios, but at the same time, keeping in tune with the requirements for CPO's in the field.
HOT off the press!
We are proud to announce that we have just finished working through the processes and have now been accredited to deliver the IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely programmes in partnership with our friends at C&C Services in London. These are globally recognised qualifications and a great alternative to the standard QCF courses, giving the candidates a much more extensive understanding of the importance of identifying of hazards and risk within a workplace.
In 2013 the SIA introduced the requirement for Door Supervisors to Upskill their original qualification to be more Safety Aware and to have the then mandatory Physical Interventions training in line with new modular approach that was in place from 2010. However, Level 2 Upskilling Door Supervisors is not the only qualification that can be taken to develop your knowledge and skills.
At ABC Diligence Training, we have added to our portfolio of mandatory and statutory qualification, with developmental courses, such as: the FPOSi (First Person on the Scene Intermediate) which is an enhanced first aid qualification giving the attendee a level 1 medic qualification required by community first responders. In Health & Safety, you now have the option to look at the Level 3 Supervising Health & Safety or the new IOSH Managing Safely, aimed at the supervisory and management levels (or perhaps those aspiring to get there). Finally and in the security sector, the Physical Interventions portfolio has higher levels including Additional Holding, Mechanical Restraint and Conflict Incident Response Team training programmes, all ideal for the more experienced operatives working in response roles.
If you can do, PERHAPS you can also teach?
Finally, perhaps you have reached the stage of your life where you feel you can not only do, but also feel that you have something to pass on to people considering following you in your footsteps. In order to deliver adult learning and training, you need to attain the Level 3 PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). If you are looking to teach H&S and First Aid training, you should also condsider having the qualification at the level above the level you want to teach at and have sector competence in these areas. However to deliver security based qualifications, you will also need Level 3 DCMT (Delivering Conflict Management Training) and Level 3 DPIT (Delivering Physical Intervention Training, which would also need to be alligned to an approved PI model such as MAYBO).
Where to go from there? Perhaps consider delivering training for ABC Diligence Training or as a franchisee via our awarding body?
